Your Web Site Template

OBJECTIVE: to download and install one of our templates. It's easier to learn web page construction if you have a ready-made page to study. We have ten beautiful template sets to choose from.

The graphics for these templates are linkware: they are provided for free as long as you have a link on your web page acknowledging where they came from.

DOWNLOAD TEMPLATES... You can view our templates and download them from the list below.

Click the download button and save the template ZIP file in your DOWNLOAD folder. A ZIP file is like an envelope: it contains all the template pages and graphics in one neat little package, which makes it much easier to download an entire template set.

Then open Windows Explorer. Find the ZIP file that you just downloaded and doubleclick on the file. Windows Explorer will show you all the files that are inside the ZIP. Highlight all the files with your mouse and COPY them to the folder where you are storing your web site project.

You can download more than one set if you want. Just don't put the files in the same folder. The files in each template set have the same names, so they will overwrite each other! Each template set needs it's own folder.

What is a ZIP file? It's like a suitcase full of files, all shut up in a neat little package. If the suitcase is locked, you need a key to open it. And, to open a ZIP file you need to use a ZIP utility program. The utility will extract the files for you.

Windows XP includes an unzip utility in File Manager, so it's best to use that if you can. Otherwise, this free utility will help you.
